To continue their MFL studies at KS5, a student needs to record a grade of 6 or higher at GCSE.

An MFL ‘A’ Level builds on the knowledge of vocabulary and grammar that students have developed during KS4. Students move beyond talking about themselves and their direct experience of the world to cover more global topics, such as immigration and politics. They deepen considerably their knowledge of the cultures in the countries where the language is spoken. They also have to read at least one work of literature.
