If you require any further information about the curriculum we are following in this subject, please contact the Head of Department.
Sociology is the study of human social relationships and institutions.
It is a very diverse subject area ranging from crime to religion, from the family to the state, from the divisions of race and social class to the shared beliefs of a common culture, and from social stability to radical change in whole societies. The GCSE Sociology course enables the student to develop an understanding of these important aspects of society whilst developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
Our Open Evening will be on Monday 2nd October 6:00pm - 8:30pm. Sign up to get early information on what will be happening, plus, ask us a question - we are going to try and answer some at the speeches!
