What happens to the examinations if there is severely bad weather?

In the event of snow or adverse weather, GCSE and A-Level exams will still take place as scheduled unless it proves absolutely impossible to do so. We may not reschedule any examinations as the times are set by the examination boards and must be strictly adhered to.

Normal rules apply and any candidate arriving after 9.30am for a morning examination or 1.30pm for an afternoon examination will be allowed to sit the examination but must be reported as arriving late. The examination board may decide not to accept their scripts. When deciding whether to accept any work done by a candidate who arrives late, the awarding body will pay particular attention to the degree of lateness and how far it can be sure that the security of the examination has been maintained. It is therefore essential that students allow themselves extra time to get into school on time for any scheduled examination.
