Children’s Mental Health Week

East Barnet School > Event > Children’s Mental Health Week

Being holders of the ‘Mental Health in Schools Award‘, it was only fitting that we commemorated and took part in Children’s Mental Health Week 2024 which ran from 5th – 9th February. Launched in 2015, the week exists to empower, equip and give a voice to every child in the UK. This year’s theme was My Voice Matters. 1 in 6 children and young people now have a diagnosable mental health condition. Last week we encouraged a 5 minute ‘time to talk’ at the end of P2 and we entered Barnet Borough’s BICS Poster competition. Our aim is to encourage our school, as a whole, to ensure that children and young people across the UK feel listened to, and know that they’re not alone.
