Valentine’s Cake Competition

East Barnet School > Charity > Valentine’s Cake Competition

If there is one thing we love at East Barnet School, it is a good cake competition! Competing for their Houses, students bake cakes (or cupcakes) at home before bringing them into school to be judged by a member of our very lucky senior leadership team. The apt theme for this time of year was Valentine’s and love. We were overwhelmed with the imagination that the students have and the beautiful decoration that the students produce.

We had four awarded places:

a pink round cake with three hearts in the middle with ebs written
1st Place Winner: Evie Hannaker, Year 7
a pink heart shaped cake with hearts and the word valentine on top for the ebs cake competition
3rd Place: Ryan Hannaker, Year 7
a cake with a red lobster on top that says lobster love for the ebs cake competition
2nd Place: Ivor Daniel, Year 12
a yellow heart shaped cake for the ebs cake competition
4th Place: Isabella Colquhuon & Sienna Shah, both Year 10

Once the winner and runners-up have been chosen, students are able to buy a slice of cake or a cupcake with all the money going to charity. This particular cake sale raised £145 for Chipping Barnet Foodbank. Below are all the pictures we took from the day!
