scout being awarded the jack petchey award by the county commissioner

We were super excited to hear that Year 9 student Luca was nominated for a Jack Petchey Award by his Scout Leaders, and he received the award last week at The Arts Depot from the Scouting County Commissioner himself!

We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activity at EBS, but we always encourage students to take up an activity outside of school as it is great for their wellbeing, is a way to make new friends, and helps to build the whole person, which is one of our values at East Barnet School.

Luca was nominated by Angela Arnedo, Scout Leader, for “his dedication to Scouting and his efforts as a Patrol Leader supporting other Scouts. He was also being recognised for his excellent Scouting skills and for his commitment to completing any challenges, always willing to learn and challenge himself.”

These are the exact values that we aim to instil in all of our students.

Congratulations, Luca, we couldn’t be any prouder of you. We will continue to expect great things from you in the future!
